Joan Bradley
for
Hensall Ward
Vote October 13-26, 2026

I’m Joan, a local resident passionate about her community.
In 2004, I moved to Hensall with my spouse and my three young children. Over the last two decades, I have raised my family in this beautiful community, owned and operated a small, local business on King Street, worked in the two long-term care facilities in Bluewater, and participated in many community-focused endeavours.
I am running for Bluewater Council as the Hensall Ward Councillor because I am passionate about this community and want to help shape the future for our village.
When you receive your voter letter in the mail this fall, please take the time to vote; it is your right. Your vote matters.
Vote Joan Bradley for Hensall Ward.
My Priorities
A few core priorities that I am passionate about.
Maintain & Improve Infrastructure
Local governments are responsible for our roads, water and sewer systems, and community facilities. It is important to maintain our aging infrastructure but also make improvements to benefit our community in a fiscally responsible way.
Encourage Sustainable Growth
Local governments are key decision makers and should be seeking opportunities for affordable housing and sustainable development as well as supporting local economies, through industries and small businesses.
I will support the building of affordable family housing through planning to attract and retain a workforce that will support the sustainable economic development of Bluewater.
Commitment to Community
Your neighbours are your local government representatives. I will strive to provide equitable access to public resources to promote opportunities for connection and community to continue to make Hensall a great place to live.
I will support efforts to maintain our agricultural and environmental heritage.
I will strive to promote policies and initiatives that create a safe, sustainable, and equitable community for all.
Why Don't You Have Lawn Signs?
I've been asked many times why I do not have lawn signs available for this municipal election.
It is my opinion that:
Coroplast lawn signs are single-use plastic and their use produces more single-use plastic and creates added waste to the landfill at the end of election cycles;
Lawn signs are expensive! A candidate's ability to run for a local democratic council should not be tied to their ability to financially support a political campaign or fundraise for signs. It feels irresponsible to ask my community to raise funds or donate to a small political campaign during a cost of living crisis;
Lawn signs only communicate my name, not my intentions.
